This series explores the intersection of girlhood and nature, and the utilization of flowers as a visual metaphor for identity, growth, and vulnerability.
Every portrait documents an intimate moment of transformation, wherein the distinctions between human and flower are blurred. By obscuring skin with real petals, I am exploring how girlhood is formed both through natural cycles and societal constructs, something delicate and yet so filled with power.
The contrast between vibrant color and fragile texture echoes the internal wealth of adolescent growth: innocence and awareness, beauty and vulnerability. Girls, like flowers, are too often valued for looks, yet inner strength resides below the surface. Through these images, I seek to honor the richness of girlhood, not as a brief or passing phase, but as a powerful journey of growth and transformation.
