Unlike the other arts, photography allows me to tap into a technical world of beauty. Throughout the discovery of this art form, I have found a deeper understanding and love for photos. Seeking inspiration from Sebastiao Salgado’s black and white stills from across the world, I have discovered an interest in understanding the power behind monotone photos. By going out into the world around me, I attempted to show power through contrast of the intersection of the natural verusus industrial world.
As you scroll across my photos, you will see first and foremost, a beginner photographer seeking for meaning in meaningless things. Varying some as black and white, and color, I tend to seek out texture. Initially, I began by taking photos to invoke a wondering idea of the scene. However, as time went on, I began focusing more on what makes me feel serenity. As you look through my photos, take a deep breath and search for the meaning and beauty within each still for the world.
