For my final project, I photographed the drive to my grandmother’s ranch and the places that have been a part of me since I was little. The ranch has always been a constant in my life. It’s somewhere that feels familiar, calm, and separate from everything else going on.

These photos show the moments that stand out to me on the way there and while I’m visiting: the coastline, the trees, the vineyard rows, the small routines inside the house, and the little things that make the place feel like home.

This project is really about the comfort of returning to a place you’ve known your whole life and noticing how it stays the same no matter how much you may change. It’s a way of appreciating the quiet parts of family and memories that I don’t usually stop to think about.
