Kiki Yi: Wicked Fantasies
I have always found myself drawn to capturing sources of color and light in my photography. Usually I like using warm and natural light, but with this project, “Wicked Fantasies”, I found myself exploring and experimenting with the different dynamics that artificial light and shadow can create, along with how movement can further add to these dynamics. This series has a darker and slightly sinister theme. Though there is a kaleidoscope of color present throughout the series, I wanted to present the subject in such a way that if looked at closely, the viewer would feel that each photo possesses eerie as well as fantastical elements.
